City of Waco selected for a top University honor
Nancy W. Brickhouse, PhD, was named University Provost Feb. 27 to help lead Baylor toward the goal of becoming the preeminent Christian research university.
Film director John Lee Hancock, BA ’79, JD ’82, and screenwriter/developer Derek Haas, BA ’91, MA ’95, returned to campus in late January to participate in a question-and-answer session for students, hosted by Baylor’s film and digital media department.
Dr. Vivienne Malone-Mayes, Baylor’s first African-American professor, was honored Feb. 26 in a well-attended ceremony in which a 50-pound, 2-foot bronze bust was unveiled near the mathematics department in the Sid Richardson Building.
