Listen Up

Baylor faculty and staff produce amazing digital content available in the form of podcasts and other online platforms. Here are a few of our favorites.

Graduate Programs Recognized

Every year, U.S. News & World Report unveils its ranking of American colleges and universities. Last fall, Baylor was ranked 79th nationally and was named a “Best Value School.”

Changing Course

Philosophy class adjusts curriculum to consider real-time ethical challenges related to global pandemic.

Stepping Up to Support Healthcare Providers

For medical professionals working on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic, personal protective equipment (PPE) is a necessary but sometimes uncomfortable tool in the fight to stay healthy.

Shifting Gears

Florence Nightingale, recognized worldwide as the founder of modern nursing, was born May 12, 1820. In honor of the 200th anniversary of Nightingale’s birth, the World Health Organization deemed 2020 as the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife. Prophetic, to say the least.

Show Stopper

Another casualty of the COVID-19 shutdown was the cancellation of Baylor Theatre’s spring lineup. Cast and crew were sidelined, and plans to bring those performances to the stage were shelved.

Student Scholars

Students from across the disciplines capped off a record-setting 2019-20 academic year by receiving some of the most prestigious — and competitive — scholarships, fellowships and internships at the national and international levels.

Serving Others for Spring Break

Members of the pre-med honor society Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED) and Multicultural Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS) at Baylor partnered with One More Child to serve in the Dominican Republic during Spring Break. Students helped lead children’s Bible study and provided public health education to children and families.

First in Line on the Front Line

For spring break, a team of 13 students from the Baylor First in Line program traveled to the Dominican Republic and served alongside the ministry Casas por Cristo. The first-generation college students and two faculty leaders assisted in clearing the land, laying a foundation and erecting walls for a family home over five days.
