Regents Name New Chair and Members

Following its spring meeting, the Baylor University Board of Regents announced Joel T. Allison will serve as its 2017-18 chair. In addition, the Board elected three new at-large Regents and welcomed the first alumni-elected Regent to the Board.

Major Gift to Benefit Baylor Geosciences Students

Parents of a current Baylor student who wish to remain anonymous provided a gift in excess of $1 million to the Baylor Department of Geosciences that will dramatically enhance students’ educational experiences by increasing the department’s capacity to provide undergraduate and graduate students with opportunities to conduct research under the mentoring guidance of faculty members.

Eleventh Baylor Bound Transfer Agreement Signed

Amarillo College became the 11th Baylor Bound partner with the creation of a formal transfer agreement that will help students transfer more easily between the two institutions and continue to expand educational opportunities for young people all across Texas.

A new Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree program in the Baylor Graduate School is aimed at providing an innovative, career-focused education to develop skilled, empathetic care providers in a profession in which doctorate programs are struggling to keep pace with demand.
