A crowd dressed in green and gold gathered Jan. 22 in Round Rock, Texas, to honor the lives of Baylor’s Immortal Ten.

The Baylor Board of Regents adopted new bylaws at their February meeting that will improve University governance by increasing diversity among the Regents, provide voting privileges to a second-term student Regent and give the public a more complete view of Board operations and decisions.

The Committee hopes to complete its work and join the University in announcing a new president by the end of the spring semester.  

The creation of the Beauchamp Addiction Recovery Center (BARC), announced in January, is another step forward in Baylor’s continued commitment to meeting the needs of students.

Jeannette Bonner’s day begins every morning at 4. Before lights are on in most of her neighbors’ homes, she prepares for a regimented day ahead. Soon, she is helping her three daughters get ready for school; once they’re off, she leaves base at Fort Hood and begins the hour-long drive to Baylor.

Students who participate in study-abroad programs find the immersive experiences enhance their creative problem solving, adaptability, communication and listening skills—advantages that will serve them throughout their careers.

Two May 2016 Baylor School of Education (SOE) graduates picked up honors during a statewide meeting of the Texas Directors of Field Experience (TDFE) and the Consortium of State Organizations for Texas Teacher Education (CSOTTE).
