After four weeks of head-to-head competition in alumni giving, Baylor University young alumni proved successful in the inaugural Baylor vs. TCU Young Alumni Challenge. At the final count, 1,315 Baylor young alumni made gifts to the University totaling more than $164,500.

In the fall, Baylor enrolled the most diverse student body in the University's 168-year history and set another overall enrollment record, according to the Office of Institutional Research and Testing. The fall enrollment report also shows fall-to-fall retention for last year's class of Baylor freshmen at its highest point ever.

Baylor's George W. Truett Theological Seminary has received a grant as part of Indianapolis-based Lilly Endowment Inc.'s Theological School Initiative to Address Economic Issues Facing Future Ministers.

A gift from Danny and Lenn Prince of Dallas will establish The Danny and Lenn Prince Chair in the Baylor School of Social Work, a position that will greatly enhance the school's development of programs to prepare professionals in the field of gerontology.
