The Department of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation in Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business has been ranked 6th best in the nation for its undergraduate entrepreneurship program by Entrepreneurship Magazine and The Princeton Review.

In addition to the national rankings, the department has been ranked No. 4 in the world for research productivity by the TCU Global University Entrepreneurship Research Productivity Rankings, showcasing success in entrepreneurship education and research. Baylor is the only university to receive a top-10 ranking, recognizing achievements in both undergraduate programming as well as research in the field of entrepreneurship.

Baylor stands out as one of only five schools in the top 25 of both the entrepreneurship and research productivity lists, with Baylor joining Babson College, Northeastern University, Miami University and Syracuse University. But factoring in the universities that appear in the top 10 in both lists, Baylor is the only ranked school with strengths in both teaching and research.

“The combination of research, teaching and service are key to the success of the Baylor Entrepreneurship undergraduate program,” said Peter Klein, Ph.D., professor and chair of entrepreneurship and The W.W. Caruth Chair at Baylor. “Baylor is one of the few programs to be elite in both research and teaching, an example of the kind of balance we want with our Research 1/Tier 1 aspirations,” Klein continued.

Baylor’s Department of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation has been dedicated to the study, teaching and practice of new venture creation and development for more than four decades. In the 2023 U.S. News Best Colleges rankings, Baylor’s undergraduate entrepreneurship program moved up to No. 8 nationally and is the top-ranked program in Texas, ahead of UT-Austin (No. 9), University of Houston (No. 12) and TCU (No. 25). In March, the U.S. News Best Graduate School ranking rated Baylor’s graduate program (Ph.D.) in entrepreneurship No. 17 in the nation.
