Wedded Bears

Dr. Michael Jakowitsch, BA ’96, and Dr. Kirsten Cooper were married April 4 in Fort Worth. John Neill, BA ’82, officiated the ceremony. Michael is an optometrist at Luck Optical in Fort Worth, and Kirsten is an administrator at Tarrant County [TX] College. They reside in Fort Worth with their daughter Grace and their soft-coated wheaten terrier Sunshine. 

Aaron Duke, BS ’14, and Jessica Duke, DPT ’19, were married Dec. 27, 2019, in Dripping Springs, TX. Aaron is pursuing an MBA at Rice University, and Jess is a physical therapist in Houston, where they reside.

Meredith Morgan, BS ’15, MS ’18, and Graham Carlson, PhD candidate, were married Oct. 18, 2019 in Waco.

Meagan Rowell, BBA ’15, and Erik Riddlebarger, BBA ’15, were married Aug. 24, 2019. They met in their freshman calculus class in Sid Richardson Building. They reside in Houston where Meagan is a project manager at a tech startup and Erik is the human resources director at an automotive reconditioning company.

Rebecca Gerardo, BS ’16, and Connor Blandin, BS ’17, were married Dec. 29, 2018, in Morelia, Mexico. They met in the lobby of Teal Residential College, where Rebecca was a Community Leader and Connor was in training to be a Community Leader. Both are now driver assistance technology research engineers with Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI.

Victoria Tew, BS ’18, MS ’20, and Jacob Scott Todd, BBA ’19, were married June 8, 2019, followed by several months of training in Minnesota before moving back to Texas. Victoria completed her master’s degree in geology this summer. The couple now resides in Houston, where Jake works for Federated Insurance.
