Nationally Recognized Programs in Human Performance Through the Arts and Athletics

In this series, Baylor Magazine asks members of the Baylor Family to discuss the foundational pillars of Illuminate, the University’s strategic plan. The fourth pillar of Illuminate, Nationally Recognized Programs in Human Performance through the Arts and Athletics, calls Baylor to continued investments in programs that shape well-rounded individuals and contribute to community life. The arts community at Baylor provides opportunities for discussion, enriches expressions of faith, nurtures faculty-student mentoring, and develops a close-knit community of arts-educated professionals. Likewise, the University’s athletics programs offer student-athletes similar opportunities to learn, serve and grow to prepare them as champions for life.
