The Tharps

Brother Owen Tharp, 6, and Tate Tharp, 4, face off in their front yard football game. The ritual of suiting up in Baylor gear from helmets to cleats is a game day tradition for the Tharp family. Owen and Tate have donned their green and gold uniforms and played football every Baylor game day since they were toddlers. As a 3-year-old, Owen was fortunate to meet his hero--Robert Griffin III.

Tate and Owen's dad, John Tharp, BBA '02, is passionate about sports, and his Baylor pride influences his sons to be devoted Bear fans, too.

"Owen wants to follow in his dad's footsteps and tells people, 'I was born to go to Baylor,'" John said. "I'm #BaylorProud because I hope my boys get to enjoy the same incredible college experience that I had, from the Christian education I received to the opportunities I had to make lifelong friends."
