Edward De Koster, '46, writes, "I went to Baylor in 1943-44 as a U.S. Army ASTP member until the program was discontinued. However, I enjoyed my time at Baylor and in Waco. I met a girl there by the name of Demetra (Musgrave) Thompson, BS '46. I was sent to Camp Maxey, Texas, in the 99th Infantry Division. I was in the Battle of the Bulge and part of the Army of Occupation in Berlin. Afterward, I went to Davenport University and worked as a senior auditor for the Revenue Department of the State of Michigan for 32 years. I retired soon after having a heart attack in 1981. My wife, Kay, passed away in March. Kay and I kept in touch with Demetra and her husband, George Thompson, of West, Texas, until they passed. I am 91 and still able to get around. Dr. Thomas L. Leaman, '46, writes, "I attended Baylor for six trimesters in the early 1940s as part of the U.S. Army Specialized Training Program. None of us graduated from Baylor, but most of the students in the training program were sent directly to medical or dental school, except for about one-third of the class who were sent directly to 'the front' during the Battle of the Bulge! Another soldier, James Rafter, and I wrote a weekly column, 'The Quadwrangler,' in the college newspaper, The Lariat. I have fond memories of Baylor and am sure any other survivors would also." Walker Leigh Knight, BA '49, of Decatur, Ga., has written From Zion to Atlanta: Memoirs. The book follows the theme of Knight searching for his father, who in 1942 abandoned his family of eight children while the ninth child was on the way. Knight spent the latter part of World War II editing a weekly newspaper for the U.S. Army Air Corps in Tyler, Texas, before becoming a radio operator in China. He was hired as associate editor of the weekly paper of the Baptist General Convention of Texas in 1950. In 1959 he moved to Atlanta, where he headed up editorial services for the Baptist Home Mission Board. In 1972, Knight wrote a poem called "The Peacemaker" from which President Jimmy Carter quoted when the Israeli-Egyptian peace treaty was signed in 1979 -- "Peace like war is waged." In 1983, he and Bill Moyers helped found a publication called Baptists Today.

Robert Feather, BA '50, Baptist fundraiser and administrator, received Texas Baptist's Legacy Award at the historic Independence Baptist Church near Brenham. Feather served three churches before he became executive vice president of the World Evangelism and Christian Education Fund. He then returned to Baylor where he became the vice president for external affairs. Feather's ministry led him to become the vice president for the Texas Baptist Laity Institute. He currently serves as a consultant to the Texas Baptist Missions Foundation and lives in Dallas.

Orlin Corey, BA '51, MA '52, was producer and director of Everyman Players from 1957-80. They staged classic productions on four continents. Marilee (Herbert) Miller, BA '70, MA '72, joined the ensemble for nine seasons. She ran Anchorage Press from 2000-08 after buying it from Corey, who owned it from 1975-00. Norman R. Davis, Alumnus by Choice, and husband of Patsy (Williams) Davis, BA '52, was honored with a Daughters of the American Revolution Historic Preservation Medal in February. Davis is a retired businessman who has lived, worked and volunteered in Paris, Texas, since 1962. Cynthia (Tuckey) Devlin, BA '53, of Conroe, Texas, writes, "My ambition has been fulfilled. My painting was shown in a museum! In fall 2011 the 'Collectors Club' of Corpus Christi showed part of their collection at the Southwest Art Museum. My work entitled 'Much is Given' was hung in the room with Albert Durer and Rembrandt etchings and other paintings and sculptures by current and known artists. The thrill of a lifetime!"
Dr. Wanda (Ballard) Vassallo Griffith, BA '53, has written her first novel, Junia, Woman Apostle: Only a Girl (Bridge Logos Publishing). Dr. Gary Freeman, BA '56, still works as a volunteer orthopaedist at San Jose Clinic (for the indigent and uninsured) in Houston. He serves as a forensic orthopaedic expert in medical-legal matters. Freeman lettered in baseball from 1952-56. Freeman was chosen as a Marson Scholar in history and attended Brown University in 1956. He earned a doctor of medicine degree from Baylor College of Medicine and a law degree from the South Texas College of Law. He is a part of professional organizations such as the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Association of Hand Surgery. The Baylor University Center for Christian Music Studies presented its 2013 Exemplary Leadership in Church Music Award to O.D. Hall Jr., BM '57, at the annual Alleluia Conference in Church Music on July 25. Hall was presented the award for his work as a local church minister of music, manager of music promotion for Lexicon Music, owner/director of MUSICalifornia, and composer and arranger of church music. He has served as minister of music at Curtis Baptist Church, Augusta, Ga.; First Baptist Church, West Palm Beach, Fla.; First Baptist Church, Van Nuys, Calif.; and Magnolia Avenue Baptist Church, Riverside, Calif.

Dr. Jay C. Farrar, BMEd '60, retired in January after 57 years of ministry to Texas Baptists. He has served as a minister of music, youth pastor and pastor. Farrar received two master's and a doctorate from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is certified with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and other entities. Farrar served also as vice president of the South Texas School of Christian Studies for five years. He has been associated with the satellite program of Howard Payne and Logsdon Seminary at Corpus Christi Baptist University, teaching in various fields. While at Baylor, he sang in the Baylor A Cappella choir, the Oratorio choir and the opera company. He and his wife of 55 years, Martha Scarborough, BA '58, have two sons, Michael Stewart and Cristopher Scott Farrar, JD '93, both of Houston, and five grandchildren. Lamar Dodson, BA '61, has written I Have Seen Your Tears: A Young Man's Journey to Suicide (CreateSpace, 2013 -- 258 pages). Dodson shares journal entries recorded by his son, who committed suicide at age 23. He writes, "Suicide is final. Hopefully this book will provide helpful information for dealing with the ramifications of suicide." Dodson retired after 45 years as an administrator and associate professor of education. Dr. Keith Rosenbaum, BA '68, of Joshua, Texas, has been appointed by Gov. Rick Perry to the Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists. Rosenbaum is a professor of psychology at Dallas Baptist University and a clinical fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

Encouraging readers to preserve their spiritual genealogies and their "everyday God-moments" is the subject of Way Back in the Gardenia Rows, a new book by Kay Wheeler Moore, BA '71, of Garland, Texas. Moore says readers should make sure future generations know which forebears or other influential Christians "plowed the ground" that laid the foundation for their own faith experiences to be passed down. The book is also a cookbook. Moore is a Pulitzer Prize nominee. She and her husband, Louis A. Moore, BA '68, are parents of two adult children and their spouses and are grandparents of three.

Eddie W. Cox, '73, of Mechanicsville, Va., was recently recognized by the YMCA of Greater Richmond, Va., as this year's Luther Gulick Award winner, which recognizes an outstanding staff member who exemplifies the mission of the YMCA. Cox is a part-time YMCA swim instructor, lifeguard trainer and lifeguard at the Patrick Henry Family YMCA. He continually develops himself spiritually, always finding ways to assist those in need through his full-time work with the International Mission Board, as well as those at the Y to develop spirit, mind and body.

Jim Darling, BA '75, JD '77, was sworn in as the 20th mayor of McAllen, Texas, May 28. He had been city commissioner for six years and city attorney for nearly 30 years. After graduating from Greece Arcadia High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was deployed to Vietnam and Laos as a radio direction finder. In addition to working at City Hall, Darling also has joined several nonprofit organizations and started a private law practice.
Denny (Eakle) Terrell, BS '75, MS '76, a retired U.S. Air Force brigadier general and current vice president of administration and finance at Shippensburg University, was this year's featured speaker at the Memorial Day service in Newburg, Pa. Her 29-year Air Force career included commander of the 41st Recruiting Squadron, assistant executive officer to the Air Force chief of staff, commander of the 62nd Support Group and commander of the 377th Air Base Wing. Terrell's first general officer position was as the deputy commander of the Ogden Air Logistics Center, where she served as the chief operating officer for a 15,000-person organization. Her final assignment was as deputy director of the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.

Dennis Swanberg, BA '76, "America's Minister of Encouragement," will perform at the Oasis conference at Baylor Oct. 11. The Christian comedian is scheduled to appear at more than 150 churches, conferences, businesses and concert events, while his TBN and FamNet television shows continue to air weekly. His eighth book, this one on men's ministry, is scheduled to hit the marketplace soon.

Dr. J. Michael Godfrey, BMEd '77, PhD '05, of Robinson, Texas, has authored Without Regret: Be More, See More, Achieve More that Really Matters (Thomas Noble, 2013 -- 182 pages). He is the creator of an award-winning mentoring program and founder of True Course, a company that provides coaching, training and consulting to businesses and churches. Godfrey lectures at Baylor, is a professional certified coach and has more than 38 years of experience in ministry.
Chris Machen, BMEd '77, was named a Distinguished Alumnus of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary June 12. He is only the third music grad to be so named. Machen received his Master of Church Music degree from there in 1980. Machen has spent more than 30 years in the music ministry as a singer, songwriter, publisher, actor, studio musician, choir specialist and worship leader. His songs include "Bow the Knee," "God is Able," "And God Cried" and "God Still Moves." He is worship pastor at Preston Ridge Baptist Church in Frisco, Texas. Dr. Horace Jeffery Hodges, BA '79, has published his first novella, The Bottomless Bottle of Beer, a postmodern Faustian morality tale of a young naif who trades his soul to the devil for a bottle of endless beer, but has a change of heart. At about 150 pages, the book includes many illustrations by noted artist Terrance Lindall. Hodges holds two graduate degrees in history from UC Berkeley and lives in Seoul, South Korea with his wife, Sun-Ae Hwang, and their two children, Sa-Rah and En-Uk. The latest book by Mark W. Muesse, BA '79, The Age of the Sages: The Axial Age in Asia and the Near East (Fortress Press), is a study of formation of the major world religions. His lecture series, "Practicing Mindfulness," which was released last year, has become a best-seller with The Great Courses. Muesse serves as The W.J. Terri Wimberly, BBA '79, is now hospice revenue cycle manager at Buckner Retirement Services in Dallas. She has 25 years of professional work experience ranging from careers in public and private accounting to commercial real estate and insurance consulting. She began her career as an account auditor at Deloitte Touche, served as vice president and real estate broker for Henry S. Miller, Co./Grubb and Ellis, and went on to start TCW Insurance and work as a sales and consultant agent.
Karen Elizabeth (Wigger) Wood, BA '79, MA '87, of Waco, and Dr. E. Darrell Crisp, of Belton, were married June 2 in Quakertown, Pa. Crisp served as a pediatric neurologist at Scott & White in Temple for 30 years before retiring early. The couple resides in Belton.
Joe Wright, BBA '79, of Richardson, Texas, has been promoted to senior vice president and chief investments officer of the Baptist Foundation of Texas. Previously, he was vice president and chief financial officer. Wright will continue to lead the foundation's investment division, with responsibility for capital markets, real estate and mineral management. He has been on staff for 12 years.

Trey Apffel, BBA '80, JD '81, won a run-off election to become the next president-elect of the State Bar of Texas. He is owner and principal of the Apffel Law Firm in League City and has practiced in Galveston County for more than 30 years. Apffel has served on the board of directors of the State Bar of Texas, as a member of the executive committee, and chaired the Legislative Policy Committee. He is certified in personal injury trial law and civil trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Apffel will serve as president of the State Bar from June 2014-June 2015.
Dr. Terry McMillan, BA '80, of Las Cruces, N.M., was appointed by Gov. Susana Martinez to the Regional Spaceport District. He owns a private practice of otolaryngology, where he has practiced for more than 17 years. McMillan has served as a New Mexico state representative since 2010 and was reelected in 2012.

Linda (Forrest) Trotter, BS '81, of Franklin, Tenn., writes, "I was privileged to attend a fabulous concert by the Baylor Wind Ensemble on March 18 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville. I was accompanied by my daughter, Heather, who will be a Baylor freshman in the fall, and her friend, Aly Olson. Both the girls and I were enthralled by the musical skill and ability exhibited by these Baylor students in each and every piece they performed. Also in attendance was Baylor alum Giancarlo Guerrero, BM '91, the conductor of the Nashville Symphony. His infectious personality and his obvious and very vocal affection for our university made him all the more appealing. Heather and her friend were thrilled to be able to speak and take a picture with him. Kudos to Dr. (Eric) Wilson, Dr. (Isaiah) Odijima, the Baylor Wind Ensemble and Maestro Guerrero for representing our university with excellence and class!"

Eckert has held key senior marketing leadership positions for consumer packaged goods companies such as ConAgra Foods. He previously worked at ACH Food Companies, running its flavor enhancements division, and has advanced some well-known brands such as Orville Redenbacher, Slim Jim and David's Sunflower Seeds.

E.J. Bird, BBA '84, has been appointed as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Sears Canada Inc. He was appointed interim CFO on March 12, and he will continue to serve as a director of Sears Canada, a role he has held since 2006.
Attorney Fred Schraub, BBA '84, JD '89, has become vice president and underwriting counsel for Alliant National Title Insurance Co. in Longmont, Colo. Previously, he served as an executive and underwriting counsel for national and regional underwriting companies.

Dr. Alexander Jimenez, BM '85, was recently promoted to the rank of full professor in the College of Music at Florida State University. He serves as director of orchestral activities and coordinator of strings. In April 2014 Naxos will release a recording of works by composer Ernst von Dohnanyi performed by the Florida State University Symphony Orchestra under Jimenez's direction. Laura (Brown) Collier, BS '86, and Robin (Sanford) Higgs, BA '86, were acquaintances while attending Baylor, but became close friends nearly 10 years after college. A 17-year friendship began when they met again one morning at First Baptist Church in Denton, Texas, where Collier serves as student ministry assistant. Pam Moody-Scott, BA '86, retired adult probation officer in Bexar County, San Antonio, Texas, is now in her 12th year of teaching elective courses at Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio. She writes, "I teach 190 students each day and I love every minute of it. It is graduation time and I am a proud mama bear of all my 190 cubs, and will enjoy having them return in a few years to share their adventures with me. Jay Hunter Morris, BMEd '86, is a Grammy-winning tenor originally from Paris, Texas. His seminal role, for the New York Metropolitan Opera, has been Siegfried in Wagner's "Ring" cycle, one of the most demanding roles ever written. The production was broadcast live to movie theaters and on radio, and subsequently was played on television, which made Morris an international star. Last year, he was Placido Domingo's understudy. Doyle Simons, BBA '86, of Spicewood, Texas, was elected president and chief executive officer for Weyerhaeuser Co. He was chairman and CEO of Temple-Inland from 2008-12. In 2009, he was selected by investment analysts as RISI's North American CEO of the Year in the paper and forest products industry. He has served on the Weyerhaeuser board of directors since June 2012. Prior to becoming CEO, he held various management positions with Temple-Inland, including executive vice president and chief administrative officer.

Jerry Pate, BSEd '87, has become associate head athletic trainer at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. Pate had been an athletic trainer at Belton High School for the past 11 years and an assistant athletic trainer at Baylor for 10 years. He also continues to play drums for the Leon River Band. He and his wife, Vicki (Smith) Pate, BSEd '87, have three children: Tyler (21) is a junior soccer player at UMHB, Courtney (19) is a sophomore on the Baylor acrobatics and tumbling team, and Cassidy (16) is a junior cheerleader at Belton High. Dr. Van Patterson, BBA '87, has been named director of The University of Texas at Tyler Longview University Center. Previously, Patterson was vice president for institutional advancement, director of student activities and an academic counselor at Panola College.

Lynette (Reed) Fitch, MS '87, of Belton, Texas, is an educator with 25 years of experience helping people from a variety of organizations to create a stronger community through the integration of spirit, culture and ethics. Dr. Tommy Sanders, BA '87, has been named assistant provost and associate professor of religion in the School of Christian Studies at East Texas Baptist University. He has more than 12 years of experience in higher education and is a published author with expertise in leadership. Sanders will oversee the Office of Academic Success and Graduate Services. Sanders moves to ETBU after serving at Dallas Baptist University since 2006.
Martie Simpson, BBA '87, is the new executive director of finance for the City of Killeen, Texas. Simpson has served as the city's interim finance director since December and was hired by the city more than 16 years ago as a management accountant.
Russ Sullivan, JD '87, a longtime staff director for the U.S. Senate Finance Committee, has joined McGuireWoods as a partner in the firm's Washington office. He will also be a senior advisor to McGuireWoods Consulting, the firm's public affairs subsidiary. Sullivan started working on Capitol Hill in 1995 and joined the Senate Finance Committee staff in 1999. He served as the staff director to the committee from 2004 until his retirement from the Senate in 2013.
David Yelle, BA '87, became a full- time ranger at Linn Run State Park in Rector, Pa. He joined the staff at Linn Run in October 2011. Yelle worked in corporate security for most of his career, but after a visit to an area state park, he decided it was time for a change.

Brett Cornwell, BBA '88, of College Station, Texas, has been appointed to the Product Development and Small Business Incubator Board by Gov. Rick Perry. The board advises the Texas Economic Development Bank. Cornwell is associate chancellor of technology commercialization for the Texas A&M University System. He is also an adjunct faculty member at the TAMU Mays School of Business, University of Texas McCombs Business School and IC2 Institute.
Bruce A. McCullough, BA '88, of The Woodlands, Texas, is now vice president and CIO of Marathon Oil Corp. He most recently served as director, global business systems of Anadarko Petroleum Corp. McCullough has worked in the information technology field, primarily in the oil and gas sector. Prior to Anadarko, he was a partner at Accenture and served in a variety of capacities for clients such as Atlantic Richfield Co., Mitchell Energy, and Development Corporation and Burlington Resources.
Albert Muller, JD '88, has joined the Houston office of the Stan Johnson Co., a real estate brokerage and advisory firm. He will serve as an associate director specializing in the sale and acquisition of net lease properties. With more than 16 years of real estate experience, Muller most recently served as general manager at La Bota Development Co.

Alicia (Gosselin) Dixon, BA '89, is manager of public relations for CenterPoint Energy, a Houston-based domestic energy delivery company serving more than five million metered customers. Dixon joined CenterPoint in 1990 and has been in her current role since 1999. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the International Association of Business Communicators.

Dr. Bart Barber, BA '91, lead pastor of First Baptist Church in Farmersville, Texas, was nominated for first vice president at the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention in Houston. Barber has served as pastor in Farmersville since 1999 after serving pastorates in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. As a trustee at Southwestern Seminary, Barber was selected last year to chair the Academic Administration Committee. He also serves as vice chairman of the executive board of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention.

Dr. Samuel Joeckel, MA '98, has authored The C.S. Lewis Phenomenon: Christianity and the Public Sphere (Mercer UP, 2013 -- 444 pages). The book explores Lewis's identity as a public intellectual, showing how the conventions of the public sphere shaped not only his own writings, but books and articles about him. On July 18, U.S. Army Col. Lee H. Schiller, MHA '02, took command of the Watervliet Arsenal facility in Watervliet, N.Y., which has been making weapons since the War of 1812. The facility employs 14,000 and includes cannon and mortar-making operations, along with high-tech businesses. Schiller previously worked as the deputy director for maintenance policies and programs in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics at the headquarters for the Department of the Army. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Combat Medical Badge.

After establishing the Cypress Symphony last year, Caroline Ewan, BM '09, of Cypress, Texas, prepared for the orchestra's inaugural concert Sept. 21 at the Centrum with world-renowned concert pianist Richard Dowling. Her goal for the symphony is to expand the concert season to once a week and increase the membership to 50-70 players. Both originally from Katy, Texas, the couple met at Baylor and now reside in Austin. Alex works as a copy editor/writer for ATPE and Danny works as a mechanical engineer with National Instruments.
Randle Dube, BA '10, graduated with a master's in English from Boston College in May. In addition to her coursework, she taught freshman writing at BC and served on the Boston College Arts Council. Lillian Jessica Hwang, BBA '10, and Billy Shao, BS '12, of Lewisville, Texas, were married March 2. Lillian is an accountant with Stream Realty Partners, and Billy is the supply chain CSR supervisor at IFF, a leading developer in food flavorings and product fragrances.
Justin Rushing, BA '09, and Faryn Johnson, '10, were married April 21 in Dallas. There to help them celebrate was a large contingent of their Baylor friends and family from Arizona, Tennessee, Indiana and Texas, including Faryn's sisters and their spouses, Robbie, BA '02, MA '04, and Carissa (Johnson) Phillips, BFA '03, and Ryan, BBA '03, and Jayme (Johnson) Smith, BBA '05.
Robert Griffin III, BA '10, tied the knot with his college sweetheart, Rebecca Liddicoat, BS '10, in Denver July 6. Many Baylor friends and family were in attendance. The couple was engaged in October 2010 while they were students at Baylor. Griffin proposed to Liddicoat in the Allison Indoor Practice Facility following the Bears' 47-42 win over Kansas State.
Jordan Lovelady, BBA '10, is now a financial analyst at Buckner Retirement Services in Dallas. He has a cumulative six years of experience at Raytheon and was also a teacher and coach for Hall Heritage School in Oklahoma City. He and his wife, Kendra (Kirkland) Lovelady, BA '09, live in Plano.
Anne-Marie Lowe, BSEd '10, married Matthew Yankowsky Jan. 26. In attendance were several Baylor alumni and former Baylor cheerleaders, who cheered along with the Baylor fight song.
Clancy Morrical, BSEd '10, is currently the only female fighter pilot at Osan Air Base in South Korea. A first lieutenant in the 36th Fighter Squadron, Morrical is one of 723 female pilots in the Air Force. While at Baylor, she completed officer training and was on her way to training on F-16 Fighting Falcons at Luke Air Force in Arizona. She finished the initial training course as a distinguished graduate and scored an average of 99.7 percent on 10 tests involving all facets of the F-16 operations. She also earned the Top Pencil award for finishing first in her class of 16.

Foster Scott Lerner, BS '11, MA '12, has been accepted to South Eastern University College of Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Allison McKimmey, BBA '11, and Robert Ruiz, BS '09, were married Jan. 5 in Dallas. Ruiz, a member of Delta Epsilon Psi, and McKimmey, a member of Delta Delta Delta, met at Baylor during McKimmey's senior year. Robert is currently attending TCU for his MBA. Allison is a marketing associate in Fort Worth.
Oboist Cory Snoddy, BMEd '11, formerly of Gatesville, Texas, now lives in New York City, where he is pursuing a master's degree at Mannes Conservatory The New School for Music. He recently performed in Coryell County's Jeffrey Arnold Foundation Festival Concert Series.
Lance Sublett, BSME '11, and Lisa Walther, BS '11, were married Feb. 23 in Richmond, Texas. Lance is a mechanical engineer for OxyChem, and Lisa is working toward her doctorate in industrial-
organizational psychology at the University of Houston. They currently reside in Houston.

Kirsten (Moyer) Nolet, BSEd '12, of San Jose, Calif., writes, "After meeting at Line Camp in the summer of 2008 and dating all through our years at Baylor, Spencer Nolet, BBA '12, and I finally got married! Sic 'em!"
Andrew Mulder, BS '12, and Melanie Heidemann, BS '12, were married in Houston May 27. Melanie is a product content specialist at Francesca's
Collections corporate office in Houston, while Andrew is a student at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy.
Kyle Murray, BBA '12, of Coppell, Texas, has been named a sensei at Texas Isshinryu Karate Kai. He is a third-degree black belt and will lead classes at TIKK's new Coppell location in Old Town Coppell at Velocity Sports Performance. As a student at Baylor, Murray founded the Baylor Isshinryu Karate Club before graduating and moving back to work as a medical economics analyst for WebTPA in Irving.

Luke Baker, BSEd '13, of Jacksonville, Texas, is currently attending Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He is enrolled in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and hopes to be a practicing physical therapist in a few years.
Ashleigh Duff, BSEd '13, and Zack Maldonado, BBA '11, of Ardmore, Okla., were engaged on top of Pat Neff Hall in January 2012. They were married May 11 at Highland Baptist Church in Waco and chose "Baylor Vintage" as their theme "in honor of our love for Baylor and everything it means to us." Tables were decorated with Baylor football programs and yearbooks and the colors were green and gold. Zack is a revenue accountant at Noble Energy, and Ashleigh is in her first year of teaching ninth grade English at Gainesville High School.
Lauren Hanes, JD '13, is now an associate at Cantey Hanger LLP in Fort Worth. Hanes was admitted to practice law in Texas in May. She was a summer associate with Cantey Hanger during 2012. Hanes is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association and the Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association.
Matthew Alan Hanzelka, MDiv '13, received the Outstanding Student Preacher Award at Truett. He plans to continue with the U.S. Air Force Reserves where he served as a chaplain. Hanzelka earned a Distinguished Graduate Award at Commissioned Officer Training in 2010. He has worked in ministry for the past 11 years.
Stephanie Larsen, JD '13, is a new associate at Underwood Law Firm P.C. in Amarillo, Texas. She practices commercial litigation, insurance defense and bankruptcy litigation.

Lincoln Christian University welcomed Nick Zola, '13, as assistant professor of New Testament and early Christianity, beginning July 1. Zola is completing a PhD in New Testament from Baylor and working on a new translation of Tatian's Diatessaron, a second-century harmony of the four Gospels. He has a master's degree in New Testament from Abilene Christian University and a bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering from Olin College of Engineering.
