Lawrence C. Lacy

Lawrence C. Lacy, '34, a longtime Waco philanthropist and Baylor donor, died June 26. He was 91. Lacy worked for Citizens National Bank, which his grandfather helped found in 1884. He attended Baylor, the University of Southern California and the University of Texas. A World War II veteran, he worked on the Kokernot 06 Ranch near Alpine. He moved back to Waco in 1955. By 1982, Lacy had become a director and senior vice president of what was then RepublicBank Waco. He is survived by is wife, Mary Kokernot Lacy, BA '43.
