Charles J. DeLancey

Charles J. DeLancey, of Houston, passed away April 1. He was 92. DeLancey's wife was the late Eleanor McLerran DeLancey, BA '38. DeLancey attended the University of Texas, where he earned two degrees in geology, and California Institute of Technology, where he earned a master of science in meteorology. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1943-45. DeLancey worked as a geologist for Humble Oil (now ExxonMobil). In 1959 he started work in the Major Fields Group, later retiring from Exxon in 1985. A generous supporter of Baylor, DeLancey was a member of the Medallion, Endowed Scholarship and 1845 societies.
