Baylor was cited in eight categories as a "Great College to Work For" by The Chronicle of Higher Education's annual survey, released in July.

Baylor is among 122 four-year institutions nationwide included in the survey. The Chronicle's Great Colleges to Work For program recognizes universities and colleges for specific best practices and policies. Baylor achieved recognition in the large university classification, those with 10,000 or more students.

"It is gratifying to see a national publication affirm what so many of us on campus already believe: Baylor is a great place to work," Interim President Dr. David E. Garland said. "In fact, what makes this survey particularly meaningful is that the findings are based on the responses of Baylor employees themselves. This survey shows that Baylor faculty and staff stand out nationally as individuals who are proud of the institution they serve and enjoy many elements of their work environment."

Baylor employs 1,151 full-time and 247 part-time faculty and staff and is one of the largest employers in Waco and the Central Texas region.
