NT scholars convene

Six internationally recognized New Testament scholars will compare various aspects of Jesus' and the Apostle Paul's thought and practice during the annual Drumwright Colloquium Nov. 18-19 in the Paul W. Powell Chapel at George W. Truett Theological Seminary. 
"This is arguably the most significant New Testament gathering on Baylor's campus in roughly a decade," said Todd Still, associate professor of Christian Scriptures at Truett and coordinator of the colloquium. 
The participants include John Barclay of the University of Durham, Markus Bockmuehl of Cambridge University, Beverly Gaventa of Princeton Theological Seminary, Bruce Longenecker of St. Andrews University, Francis Watson of the University of Aberdeen and Stephen Westerholm of McMaster University. 
The Drumwright Colloquium was established in 2002 by Minette and Huber Lelland Drumwright Jr., for the purpose of bringing New Testament scholars to campus to interact with seminary students.
Sessions will be held 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Nov. 18 and 9 a.m.-noon on Nov. 19. The colloquium is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Still at (254) 710-7347.
