Outstanding teaching is a valued commodity at Baylor, and last spring, Professor Rachel Moore and Dr. Blaine McCormick were recognized for upholding that tradition.
Moore, senior lecturer in the English department, was selected as a Piper Professor for 2003 by the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation. As a recipient of the award, Moore received an honorarium of $5,000 as well as a certificate and gold pin.
Dr. McCormick, assistant professor of management in the Hankamer School of Business, was chosen by the 2002-03 senior class as the recipient of the Collins Outstanding Professor Award. As the Collins Professor, he was recognized at the May commencement ceremonies and received a cash award of $10,000.
