Presidentially Speaking

Pulitzer Prize-winning author David McCullough will present the Baylor University Libraries' second annual Ferguson-Clark Author Lecture at 7 p.m. Oct. 9 in Waco Hall. His talk will focus on his latest book, John Adams, and will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
A biographer, historian and lecturer, McCullough is author of six widely acclaimed books including his Pulitzer-Prize winners Truman and John Adams. McCullough also is known as the host of "The American Experience" and narrator of numerous PBS documentaries including "The Civil War."
McCullough has lectured in all parts of the country and abroad as well as at the White House as part of the presidential lecture series. He also is one of the few private citizens to be asked to speak before a joint session of Congress.
Tickets for the lecture cost $5 for students, faculty and staff, $10 for general admission and $75 for patrons. Patron tickets will include an invitation to a reception honoring the author in Armstrong Browning Library following the lecture. 
Baylor alumnus Collen A. Clark established the lecture series endowment in honor of his mother, Carla Sue Ferguson Garrett, a Baylor alumna and a member of the libraries' board of advisers. Ernest Gaines was the featured speaker at the inaugural lecture last fall.
