Something To Sing About

June 25, 2002

The sounds of praise and jubilation will fill the halls of Baylor's School of Music July 29-31 at the "Alleluia! Many Voices, One Song" training event for children, youth and adults.
Choral music reading clinicians from Jubilate! Celebrating the Traditions of Sacred Music, based in Austin, Texas, will offer nine hours of reading sessions using music specifically chosen for this event. Members of the Choristers Guild, a national entity for children's choral music, will coordinate two honor choirs for grades 4-6 and 7-12.
"This one-of-a-kind event features the finest clinicians available," said Dr. Randall Bradley, director of Baylor's Church Music program and coordinator of the event.
It also will offer training and inspiration for worship leaders, music ministers, children's choir leaders and keyboard ministers.
Daily training sessions in conducting, worship, organ and piano also will be offered. Two evening concerts and an honor choir concert will round out the three-day event.
