Pruit And Lilly Co-sponsor Christianity and Economics Conference Nov. 7-9

This year's Pruit Memorial Symposium will examine "Christianity and Economics: Integrating Faith and Learning in Economic Scholarship" Nov. 7-9.
Now in its seventh year, the symposium this year will be held jointly with the second annual Lilly National Research Conference, sponsored by the Lilly Fellows Program in the Humanities and Arts.
Keynote speaker for the three-day event will be Dr. George M. Marsden, the Francis A. McAnaney Professor of History at the University of Notre Dame. His most recent publications include The Outrageous Idea of Christian Scholarship (1997) and The Soul of the American University: From Protestant Establishment to Established Nonbelief (1994).
The Pruit Memorial Symposium is endowed by Mr. and Mrs. Lev H. and Ella Wall Prichard in memory of Mrs. Helen Pruit Matthews and her brothers, Dr. Lee Tinkle Pruit and William Wall Pruit.
