New Intramural Complex Ready For Use

June 25, 2002

When Baylor students return to classes this fall, they'll enjoy a new intramural park complex at LaSalle Avenue and University Parks Drive. The 19-acre site was completed in May and opened to students in June, said Don Bagby, director of facilities management.
The park has four lighted fields, each 240 feet by 360 feet, for intramural sports and other uses. Other amenities include a brick bathroom facility, scoreboards and a paved parking lot. Total cost of the project is expected to be $1.1 million.
Baylor's new science complex will be built at Bagby Avenue and University Parks Drive, where the intramural fields previously were located.
A trolley runs between the McLane Student Life Center and the new fields.
