1950s

Don M. McReynolds, JD ’51, and Geraldine Dailey McReynolds, BA ’51, celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on Sept. 2, 2025. 

Jack D. Price, BBA ’55, and Helen W. Price, BA ’62, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary alongside 23 members of their family. They met at Baylor in an English class during their freshman year. They were married four years later in the Tidwell Chapel on campus. 

Kathlenne A. Sims, BA ’56, of Memphis, TN, established the Kathleene A. Sims Endowed Fund for the Bears.

Tom Goforth, BS ’59, and Royce Goforth of Crawford, TX, established the Tom and Royce Goforth Endowed Excellence Fund in Men’s Tennis

1960s

Georgeann Dukes, BM ’60, and her husband, Dale, moved to Austin three years ago. They lived in Richardson for 52 years, raising their children there. As they approached their 90s, the pair decided it was time to be close to family. They have four children, two of whom live in the area, and nine grandchildren. Perry Polk, BBA ’62, retired from his role as part-time chaplain at Paradise Valley Estates, a premier retirement community in Fairfield, CA, and as chaplain of the Civil Air Patrol. He was ordained as a priest in the Episcopal Church in 2009. 

Karl P. Mattlage, BBA ’63, JD ’65, has been appointed by Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker to the city’s Urban Rail Committee. He is charged with formulating a light rail transportation system for Fort Worth to support economic development and tourism for the city. He has formerly served as transportation commissioner of Colorado Department of Transportation under two different Colorado governors. His wife, Norma, is the vice president of Commercial Business Development, Rattikin Title Insurance Company of Fort Worth. 

Don Standley, BBA ’64, of Joshua, TX, established the W. Don Standley Endowed Missions Scholarship for Missions and The Standley Family Endowed Scholarship Fund.

Beverley Stinchcomb, BA ’67, and David Stinchcomb, ABC ’18, of Oklahoma City, OK, established the Beverley and David Stinchcomb Endowed Scholarship in Education.

Andrew T. Pittman, BS ’68, served in the military for four years and taught at Baylor from 1981-2009. As an undergraduate student, he served as class president during his senior year. 

1970s

William K. Rosenberry, JD ’70, and Donna Rosenberry of Arlington, TX, established the Donna and Bill Rosenberry Endowed Scholarship and the Donna and Bill Rosenberry Endowed Scholarship in Law.

Through the estate of David Laurance Yett, BBA ’76, JD ’79, the Yett Family Scholarship was established to honor the lives and legacies of family members whose roots run deep within the Baylor community. 

Dorothy Pettigrew, BA ’76, Psy.D. ’81, of Houston established the Dorothy Pettigrew Endowed Scholarship in Psychology.

Biff Palmer, BS ’77, was awarded the Robert G. Narins Award for Contributions in Education at the annual American Society of Nephrology meeting in Houston. He is currently a professor in the Department of Education and Internal Medicine at the Paul Foster School of Medicine in El Paso.

Darrell W. Cain, BBA ’77, MPA ’78, retired after working 42 years as a partner with Cain, Watters and Associates. He started as a solo practitioner and retired with the top-ranked, 70th largest CPA firm. He currently serves as chairman of the Board of Tectonic Financial and is the founder of the III to I Foundation, a non-profit organization providing financial education to thousands of individuals annually. 

Jack Tinsley, BBA ’77, MBA ’83, and Linda Tinsley, BA ’74, MSEd ’82, EdD ’95, of Dallas established the Dr. Linda Howard Tinsley Endowed Fund for the Baylor Center for School Leadership.

Mike Holman, BBA ’77, and Sherrie Holman, BSED ’78, of Woodway, TX, established the Mike and Sherrie Holman Endowed Scholarship for Experiential Learning.

Senator Barry Kip Averitt, BBA ’77, MBA ’78, of Austin, TX, established the Senator Kip Averitt Bear Habitat Endowed Fund.

Sally A. Moore, BA ’78, authored her second novel in the Fever Season series. Gold Fever is set in 1870’s post-Civil War wild frontier. This work of Christian historical fiction is available on Amazon.

Dr. Renee Duerr Bailey, BSN ’79, DNP ’21, of Dallas established the Dr. Renee Duerr Bailey Endowed Scholarship in Nursing.

Cynthia L. Peterson, BSEd ’79, retired on Dec. 31, 2025. She spent four years as a public school teacher and has been employed as a librarian in both public and academic libraries across Texas, North Carolina, Arkansas and Virginia since 1983. Her 40-year career ended at the public library in Plainview, and she plans to stay in West Texas for the years to come.

1980s

Mark Mullins, BBA ’80, and Susan Mullins of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX, established the Mullins Family Endowed Scholarship in Entrepreneurship in memory of Mr. Mullins’ grandmother, Mary Powers, and his mom, Sharon Mullins Mills.

David Vernon, BA ’80, authored Lord Remember Me – A Fresh Look at the Life of Samson with Xulon Press Elite. 

Roland Garcia, BBA ’81, of Houston established the Roland Garcia Endowed Scholarship for the Honors College.

Mike E. Mayo, BBA ’81, authored his first book, Miracles Amongst Us: Before, Then, and Now. It is a reminder that the same God that commanded the wind and waves on the Sea of Galilee is still active and personal in our world. Dr. Cornelia Graves, BA ’83, of Nashville, TN, established the Cornelia Graves Endowed Scholarship Fund.

Phyllis S. Villanoueva, BSEd ’84, retired from Wellspring Credit Union as senior loan officer with 20 years of experience. She loves life with her family and nine grandchildren. Sic ’em!

Clayton Coker, BS ’84, MA ’86, retired after a 40-year career in space science for the Department of Defense. He served as the branch head for Geospace Science and Technology, in the Space Science Division at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C. Upon retirement from federal service, he and Debbie Coker moved back to Texas. 

Steven Kirk Holden, BBA ’85, BAcc ’85, MTax ’86, and Ann Elizabeth (Sellars) Holden, BS ’85, of Tulsa, OK, established the Steve and Ann Holden Family Endowed Scholarship.

Barbara M. Britton, BS ’86, released her 11th novel on Jan. 6. Scrivenings Press launched Cross the Lake: Traveling with Jesus Around the Sea of Galilee, which consists of six stories from the Gospel of Mark. Britton adds her reflections from walking the hills and valleys around the Sea of Galilee. 

In memory of Randy Driggers, BS ’86, the Allard Randall “Randy” Driggers Endowed Scholarship was given to Baylor University by his wife, Pamela (Schank) Driggers, and his two daughters, Leslie (Driggers) Hoard and Mallory Driggers.

Peter K. Larson, BBA ’86, of Corrales, NM, established the Peter K. Larson Endowed Scholarship.

Robert “Bob” G. Ward Jr., BA ’86, and Ginger Ward of North Richland Hills, TX, established the Ward Endowed Scholarship in Computer Science.

Teresa “Teri” Sollenberger Morin, BA ’87, of Upper Arlington, OH, established the Sollenberger Morin Endowed Scholarship, in honor of her father, James E. Sollenberger, and her husband, Gary E. Morin.

Stan Perry, BA ’87, opened the Houston office of the Louisiana-based law firm Taylor Wellons Politz & Duhe, LLC. 

Robert Melton Spengler Jr., BA ’87, is the project director of the Unified Building Sciences (UBS)office in Houston. Spengler has been with UBS for almost 19 years and in the same industry since graduating from Baylor. In 2013-14 UBS let Spengler take a leave of absence to serve as a missionary with Lifesong for Orphans in Zambia, Africa, where he oversaw the construction of a new high school, missionary housing, and the start of a new boarding facility for students. Spengler is the father to three amazing sons, one of whom was adopted from Zambia. Since his time in Zambia, Spengler has remained involved with Lifesong. He and his wife co-founded a ministry in 2022 that serves young pregnant teens called Kharis House in Ndola, Zambia. For more information:

Greg L. Luken, BA ’87, founder of Luken Wealth Management, authored his second book, Unleash Your Financial Superpowers, How the First-Generation Wealthy Do It – And How You Can Too! The book chronicles patterns, insights and stories gathered from 35 years of managing money for people who built their wealth from scratch. 

Suzy Mighell, BA ’87, authored Empty Nest Blessed: 60 Days to Finding Joy in the Empty Nest. In this book, she guides women through the emotional, spiritual and practical challenges that come with the empty nest season. Mighell inspires more than 500,000 monthly readers and followers with uplifting content on everything from fashion and beauty to marriage, travel, parenting adult kids and aging joyfully. 

Dr. Robert Goode, BA ’88, of Waco established the Dr. Clement T. Goode Endowed Chair in English in memory of Goode’s father, Clement T. Goode, Jr., Ph.D., professor emeritus of English, who taught at Baylor for 40 years until his retirement in 1997.

Jeff Miller, BA ’89, of Crawford, TX, established the Jeff Miller Endowed Athletics Excellence Fund.

1990s

Baylor Regent René Maciel, MA ’91, authored his first book, 31 Days of Joy, a heartfelt devotional designed to guide readers through a month-long journey of discovering and living out the joy of Christ. Each day offers a thoughtful reflection, scripture-based encouragement and practical insights to help cultivate a deeper sense of spiritual joy in everyday life. This inspiring debut invites readers to embrace joy not just as a feeling, but as a way of life rooted in faith. 

Heather L. Cooper-Bishop, BA ’92, married Frederick Bishop on Sept. 8, 2024. Fred is a graduate of the University of Texas. They reside in Puyallup, WA, where Cooper-Bishop is a pediatrician at Woodcreek Pediatrics Mary Bridge Children’s. 

Tom DeGoey, BBA ’92, and Amy (Breunig) DeGoey, BA ’93, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, established the Tom and Amy (Breunig) DeGoey Endowed Fund in Finance.

Malia Nix, BSEd ’92, was recently named executive director for This Able Veteran. This Able Veteran trains service dogs for veterans with PTSD and is located in Southern Illinois. 

Alan K. Caldwell, BA ’93, was named interim dean of the School of Communication at Texas Southern University. With more than 20 years of experience in communications, media and public relations, Caldwell brings global expertise, academic excellence and corporate leadership to Texas Southern. 

Amanda “Mandie” Gahagan Crotwell, BBA ’93, and Lars Crotwell established the Crotwell Family Endowed Scholarship in Accounting and the Crotwell Family Endowed Scholarship in Computer Science. The Crotwell family has a deep connection to Baylor, beginning with Amanda. Daughter Anna Crotwell, BBA ’24, MAcc ’24, is an alumna and their son, Andrew, is a member of Baylor's Class of 2027.

Brian Kim, BS ’93, and Joyce Lee, BBA ’93, of Carrollton, TX, and Charlene Lee, BBA ’88 of Rockledge, FL, established the Korean Voice of Wilderness Endowed Fund, in honor of Joyce’s parents, David Yongbong Lee and Grace Kyungja Lee, and their ministry to the Korean Church in Texas, and to preserve his sermons, letters and collections as part of Baylor’s Texas Collection.

James Rider, BA ’93, is now the development director for Open Door Ministries in Denver. Open Door is a Christian ministry that seeks to address poverty, build communities and cultivate followers of Christ in Denver. 

Matt McCracken, BBA ’93, owns CMIT Solutions in TriTex, an IT managed services and cyber security company in Fort Worth. The company recently expanded from the DFW area to Houston and San Antonio. 

Dee A. Hirsch, BBA ’94, joined the FIFA World Cup 2026 in the role of host city director – Dallas. In her position, Hirsch serves as the FIFA market lead representative and liaison with the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee. She is responsible, together with the host committee, for delivery of operations, event sites and key services for the tournament. Hirsch is one of only 11 sports and events professionals to hold this position.

Taekuk Cho, BA ’94, was selected by the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) as Acting Special Agent in Charge for West Texas and New Mexico. In this role, he oversees all criminal investigations for DHS to include drug and human trafficking, cyber and finance crime, as well as crimes against children. 

David Groce, MTax ’95, JD ’95, and Jennifer Groce of Colleyville, TX, established the Groce Family Missions & Study Abroad Endowed Fund. The Groces have two children, son Teddy Groce, BBA ’25, and their daughter, Grace Groce, a member of Baylor’s Class of 2028.

Craig Reed, BBA ’95, and Alison Reed of Brentwood, TN, established the Reed Family Endowed Student Foundation Scholarship.

Heather Eddy, MS ’97, completed her Doctor of Education in online curriculum and instruction at Liberty University. 

2000s

Ryan Crowe, BA ’01, was awarded the Loras Goedken Outstanding Leadership Award from the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation at their 2025 annual meeting. Crowe was honored for his 20 years as a volunteer leader on both state and national levels and for advocating in Austin and Washington, D.C. on behalf of people, like himself, that are living with a bleeding disorder. He and his wife, Rebekah Crowe, MA ’04, live in Floydada, TX, with their teenage son.

Jacob Shaw, BA ’01, and Jenna Shaw of Charlotte, NC, established the James L. and Sarah Erwin and Jacob and Jenna Shaw Endowed Scholarship in English in memory of Mr. Shaw’s maternal grandparents, James L. and Sarah Erwin.

Michael Hillman, BBA ’02, MBA ’03, and Jennifer Hillman of Waco established the Kathy Robinson Hillman Chair in Communication. The donors are establishing this professorship to honor Michael’s mother, Kathy Robinson Hillman, BA ’73, and the 50 years she has dedicated to Baylor University as professor, librarian and servant.

Douglas McNamee, BA ’03, MSEd ’05, and Lacy McNamee, BA ’04, MA ’06, of Woodway, TX, established the Dr. Gary Marshall McNamee and Dr. L.V. McNamee Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Education in memory of Mr. McNamee’s father, Dr. Gary McNamee, BS ’68, and grandfather, Dr. L.V. McNamee, BA ’38.

John D. Young, BA ’03, recently took on a new role as head of social media and citizenship with Southwest Airlines. 

Shelly Spaulding, BA ’04, currently serves as the assistant superintendent of public relations, communications and support services in McKinney ISD. She holds a doctorate in educational leadership, two master’s degrees — one in curriculum and instruction and the other in educational administration — a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University, and leadership certificates from SMU and Harvard University. She is a leadership trainer and facilitator for the Jon Gordon Company, John Maxwell, Brené Brown and Lead Forward. She also serves as an adjunct professor and is currently working on publishing a book about how leadership impacts the workplace and school environment. 

Sheree L. Anshel, BSN ’06, of Park City, UT, established the Sheree L. Anshel Endowed Scholarship in Nursing.

Brent Benner, BBA ’06, is co-founder and president of Canopii, a healthcare IT consulting and staffing firm focused on Epic Systems and payer-provider integration. Canopii was recently ranked #67 on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies. 

Jennifer Amatya Boyd, BA ’07, accepted a position as program manager of contracts and immigration at LSU Health Shreveport. She is responsible for managing the immigration processes of medical students and residents, along with coordinating long-term placements of doctors in areas with doctor shortages across Louisiana. She also teaches English as a second language at Bossier Parish Community College. 

Sarah Nazarian, BA ’07, launched Mama Bear Mahjong, a Waco-based company that brings friends and families together through the joy of American Mahjong. What began as a personal hobby has grown into a small business. Nazarian enjoys hosting lessons for Wacoans, Baylor students, alumni and families — continuing the Baylor tradition of community and connection. Learn more at MamaBearMahjong.com

2010s

Whitney L. Breedlove, BA ’10, started a new role with Global Partners LP as Associate General Counsel.

Lindsay Rae Smith Privette, BA ’11, recently authored her first book, The Surgeon’s Battle: How Medicine Won the Vicksberg Campaign and Changed the Civil War. The study offers a fresh perspective on the Union Army’s quest for Vicksburg, MS, by tracing the development of the army’s medical systems and exploring how officers adapted to their circumstances to prove themselves stewards of soldiers’ bodies. 

Jordan Williams, BSEd ’11, former Baylor softball player, coaches at Waco Midway High School and won the UIL 6A state championship. She’s been the head coach at Midway Softball for the past six years. Maritza Martinez, BA ’09  and Taylor Ellis, BSEd ’19, both former Baylor softball players, are also on her staff as assistant coaches.

Rachael (Rundus) Lewis, BA ’12, joined the Big 12 as vice president of communications. In her role she will oversee conference-wide communications strategy and will serve as senior advisor to leadership during a transformative era in college athletics. She will lead external, internal and crisis communication efforts, working closely with member institutions, media partners and stakeholders to elevate the conference’s brand, articulate its strategic priorities and reinforce its position as a leader in collegiate sports. She brings a steady, strategic approach to navigating complex issues while amplifying the conference’s competitive, commercial and cultural momentum.

Allison Hatfield Bear, BA ’13, was recently elected to the Books Between Kids Board of Directors. Books Between Kids (BBK) is a non-profit organization serving Houston’s at-risk children by providing them with books to build their at home libraries. 

Holly Taylor MacKay, BBA ’13, married Wes MacKay on July 12, 2025, in Dallas. Wes is a graduate of the University of North Texas, and the couple resides in Richardson, TX. 

Saba F. Syed, JD ’13, was named to D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers Under 40 in Dallas” list.

Trenton D. Garza, BA ’14, married Victoria Frank on Oct. 12, 2025, in Weston, MO. Victoria is an ecologist and graduate of Oregon State University and Trenton is an attorney in Missouri. The newlyweds reside together in Leavenworth, KS, with their fur babies. 

Mason G. Jones, BBA ’16, JD ’19, was named to D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers Under 40 in Dallas” list. 

Brennan C. Weintraub, BA ’16, is joining Leech Tishman as an attorney. He will join the firm as an associate in Leech Tishman’s Family Law and Litigation Practice Groups and will be based in the firm’s State College, PA, office. Weintraub is highly skilled in representing clients in cases involving complex equitable distribution and custody issues. He has experience representing clients in court and at all stages of litigation.

Nathan Cox, JD ’17, was named to D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers Under 40 in Dallas” list.

Keba C. Batie, MBA ’17, joined U.S. Bank as a senior vice president in the Government Banking and Higher Education group, covering Texas and Oklahoma. Based in Dallas, he brings more than 26 years of experience, including the last 21 years at J.P. Morgan in various leadership roles. He will focus on delivering tailored solutions to public sector clients such as cities, countries, states, tribal authorities, school districts and higher education institutions. 

2020s

Breann Bates, BA ’22, MA ’22, married Jackson Lucé in Teton Valley, ID, on Sept. 5, 2025. The couple splits their time between the Tetons and McKinney, TX. Bates is the creative director of a public relations firm based in Jackson Hole, while Lucé works in both golf and law. Although Lucé is not a Baylor Bear, he is learning to say “Sic ’em” thanks to his wife. 

Noelle Sperrazza, BA ’22, graduated from UMN Law School in May 2025 and passed the Unified Bar Exam, scoring in the 90th percentile. 

Austin White, BS ’23, and Jordan Ng, BSEd ’21, MSEd ’23, married on Aug 8, 2025. 

Garrett Taylor, BBA ’23, graduated from Cornell Law School with honors in May. Following graduation, he is moving to San Diego to work in Cooley LLP’s litigation department. 

Cole Derian, BBA ’23, married Sophia Daniels in August 2025. Daniels is a Texas Tech School of Nursing graduate (BSN), and the pair now resides in Fort Worth with their two cats, Magnolia and Benjamin.

The Angel Foundation of Dallas established the Angel Foundation Global Mission Leadership Endowed Fund to support the education of global Christian leaders to become catalysts for holistic change in international communities around the world.

Sigrid Weidenweber of Zephyr Cove, NV, established the Dr. Sigrid and Anne Weidenweber Endowed Fund for Baylor Law Review.

Baxter and Dena Johns of Waco established the Johns Family Endowed Scholarship in Mathematics.

The Paul and Sally Houdayer Foundation of Seguin, TX, established the George Thomas Green and Ollie Lee Green Endowed Scholarship.

The Coker Methodist Church of San Antonio established the Coker Methodist Church Endowed Student Scholarship at Truett Seminary to support students of Truett Seminary who are pursuing ministry in the Global Methodist Church.

The Lorraine Reagan Trust of Woodway, TX, established the Lorraine Baumann Reagan Endowment for the Enrichment of Music Students.

Mr. Sze Wah Johnny Lau of Clarksburg, MD, established the Lau Family Endowed Scholarship in Statistics in memory of his mentor and friend Professor Dennis A. Johnston, a former tenured professor of statistics at Baylor.

Amy and Charles Truan of Cypress, TX, established the Truan Family Endowed Scholarship. Amy and Charles have a daughter, Ava Truan, who is a member of the Baylor’s Class of 2027.

Madding and Carmen King of Nashville, TN, established the Madding and Carmen King Endowed Scholarship in honor of Dr. Nader Afrooz, M.D., in honor of Mrs. King’s father. The Kings’ daughter, Julia King, is a member of Baylor’s Class of 2028.

Brynn and Tom Campbell of Montgomery, TX, established the Campbell Family Endowed Dean’s Excellence Fund. The Campbells have three children: Cole Campbell, BS ’19, Kyley Campbell, BS ’21, and Caleb Campbell. 

Bret and Yecenia Curtis of Austin established the Bret and Yecenia Curtis Family Endowed Fund for Track and Field. The Curtises’ son, Beltre Curtis, is a member of Baylor’s Class of 2028.

Alexandra and Timothy Dunley of Seattle established the Dunley Family Endowed Fund for Christian Leadership in Business. Their son, Nicholas, is a member of Baylor’s Class of 2027.

Jonathan Harinck and Monica Harinck of Highlands Ranch, CO, established the Colorado Family and Friends Endowed Dean’s Excellence Fund in Business. The Harincks’ son, Harrison, is a member of Baylor’s Class of 2026.

Todd and Jodi Reeg of Paradise Valley, AZ, established the Reeg Family Endowed Scholarship for Robbins College. The Reegs’ oldest daughter, Chloe Reeg, BS ’25, is an alum. 

Maria and Pat Beisert of The Colony, TX, established the Maria and Patrick Beisert Family Endowed Fund for Robbins College. The Beiserts have two daughters, Jenna-Marie Beisert, BA ’24, and Breanna Beisert, a member of the Baylor’s Class of 2029.

Rhonda Guzzetta, ABC ’02, and Blaise Guzzetta, ABC ’02, of Friendswood, TX, established the Rhonda and Blaise Guzzetta Family Scholarship in Robbins College. The Guzzettas have three daughters who are members of the Baylor Family, Stacy Guzzetta, BSEd ’99, Amy Guzzetta, BSEd ’03, and Bethany Guzzetta, BSEd ’03, and their granddaughter, Lauren Daugherty, is a member of Baylor’s Class of 2027. 

Patricia H. Jolesch, ABC ’14, and Bruce W. Jolesch, ABC ’14, of Dallas established the Jolesch Family Endowed Scholarship in Business.

Leonard Galante, ABC ’17, and Lisa Galante of Albuquerque, NM, established the Galante Family Endowed Scholarship. The Galantes have two daughters, Olivia Galante, BSN ’20, and Sarah Galante, BSEd ’18.

Ken L. Betterton, ABC ’22, of Salem, OR, established the Ken L. Betterton Endowed Scholarship for the Hankamer School of Business.
