Hall of Fame Award Winners

Each year, Baylor Athletics honors a group of former student-athletes, coaches and administrators who achieved excellence in their sports and brought distinction to Baylor. This year’s class is headlined by longtime football and men’s basketball broadcaster John Morris, B.A. ’80, Biletnikoff Award winner Corey Coleman and two-time NCAA champion Trayvon Bromell, B.S.Ed. ’18.

John Morris
Radio/TV

The “Voice of the Bears” since 1995, Morris is the fourth sports media figure inducted into the Hall of Fame. He’s called Baylor football since 1987 and the 2021 national title run for men’s basketball, and he won the 2024 Chris Schenkel Award, making Baylor the first school with two winners of the honor.

Quincy Acy
Men's Basketball

A key piece of two Elite Eight runs and the 2009 NIT runner-up, Acy, B.A. ’12, finished top 10 in Baylor history in scoring, rebounds, blocks and field-goal percentage before a seven-year NBA career.

Trayvon Bromell
Track & Field

A five-time Big 12 champion in just two seasons (2014-15), Bromell won NCAA titles in the 100m and 200m before going on to Olympic and World Championship medals as a pro sprinter.

Zane Carlson
Baseball

Baylor’s all-time saves leader, setting the single-season saves record as a freshman in 2000, Carlson, B.S.Ed. ’04, was named National Freshman of the Year and still holds program records for relief appearances and strikeouts.

Corey Coleman
Football

The 2015 Biletnikoff Award winner set a Baylor and national record with 20 touchdown catches that season, becoming the program’s first receiver with multiple 1,000-yard years before a first-round NFL Draft selection.

Hayley Davis 
Women’s Golf

Baylor women’s golf’s first All-American, Davis, B.S.Ed. ’16, holds program records for career top-10 and top-5 finishes and led the Bears to Big 12 and regional titles as a senior.

Bill Martineson 
Track & Field

A four-time All-American in 1946-47, Martineson is one of only two Baylor athletes to earn All-America honors in both the 100 and 220 in the same year, Bromell being the other, nearly 70 years later.

Tiffani McReynolds 
Track & Field

The only Baylor athlete to earn All-America honors in the same event four straight times, McReynolds, B.A. ’14, won the 60m hurdles at the Big 12 championships for four consecutive seasons.

David Sibley 
Men’s Basketball (Wall of Honor)

A three-year letterman and team captain, Sibley, B.A. ’70, J.D. 89, D.D. ’74, went on to serve as Waco mayor and a Texas state senator, becoming the 34th inductee to the “B” Association Wall of Honor.
