Scholarship Support Shines in Second-Largest Fundraising Year

September 3, 2025

The past year saw the second-highest fundraising year in Baylor’s history, with more than $192 million given during the 2025 fiscal year (FY25). More than 26,000 alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends gave generously in support of areas across the University, including support of faculty research, academic programming, character development initiatives and scholarships in gifts, pledges and planned gifts.

“We are deeply moved and profoundly grateful for the unwavering generosity of the Baylor Family,” said Baylor President Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D. “Their continued support of Baylor University over the past year is a powerful reflection of our shared commitment to the University’s Christian mission, and it’s truly humbling to witness how faithfully the Baylor Family invests in the lives of students, faculty and staff.”

A significant portion of gifts and pledges during FY25 were made in support of Extend the Line, a scholarship fundraising initiative which aims to raise $250 million by 2030. The initiative was launched publicly in February, and in its first fiscal year, Extend the Line has raised $42,922,257 in scholarship support, with 99 new scholarships established.

From June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025:

  • 26,349 donors gave 47,085 gifts to Baylor University.

  • Gifts totaled $192,434,110 for scholarships through Extend the Line, faculty chairs and research funds and student success programming.

  • In April, nearly 3,900 donors gave 4,600 gifts, raising $2.2 million in support during Baylor’s 2025 Giving Day.

  • 64% of Baylor’s total donors are Baylor Alumni, who continue to lead the way in their giving.
