Celebrating Forever Families

December 9, 2025

McLennan County Adoption Day, hosted by Baylor Law School, celebrated 10 children and their families as they finalized their adoptions.

On National Adoption Day in November, the Law School was transformed into a Paddington Bear-inspired adventure for the event.

“This was truly a special day,” Baylor President Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D., said. “To understand the difficult road that brought many of these children and families to this place and to see the joy in this beautiful moment is something I will never forget or take for granted.”

Since 2008, Baylor Law has helped unite 440 children with their forever families through this tradition.

“The students, faculty and staff of the Law School go above and beyond to create a fun, comfortable environment for these families,” Livingstone said. “I am so proud of their commitment to this annual event generously sponsored by the Steve B. and Penny Flowers Carlile Endowed Fund for Christian Initiatives.
