Brothers in Christ
United under the 2025 Baylor football team’s theme — Ball. Brotherhood. Battle. — the Bears have added a new level to their bond: Brothers in Christ.
Now with baptisms a regular occurrence for teams throughout the Baylor Athletics department, the Baylor football program celebrated the baptisms of Sawyer Robertson and Brock Johnson in May 2025.
In November 2025, an additional 10 student-athletes participated in reaffirming or expressing their faith for the first time publicly as believers, with the baptisms taking place in Baylor Athletics training facilities during a player-led ceremony.
Reuniting with his former teammates, wide receiver Monaray Baldwin returned to Waco where he publicly declared his faith and was baptized by Robertson a few weeks later in November.
Robertson, Michael Allen, Joshua Ehambe and Garrison Grimes are just a few of the recent team leaders and staff who have baptized their teammates and fellow Bears, welcoming them to their new way of life and eternal brotherhood.
