Career Experience

Brian A. Aslin is an attorney in the Austin office of Jackson Lewis, focusing exclusively on representing employers in labor and employment matters. He earned a B.F.A. in theatre performance, with a minor in religion, from Baylor University in 2013 and a J.D. from Baylor Law School in 2016. At Jackson Lewis, Aslin advises and defends Fortune 50 corporations and small businesses in state and federal litigation and traditional labor relations matters. He also frequently speaks on labor and employment law topics, providing continuing legal education to attorneys and human resources professionals. Before entering private practice, he served as an assistant attorney general for the State of Texas and as an assistant district attorney in the McLennan County District Attorney’s Office.

Board Experience

Aslin serves on the board of directors for Hospice Austin, the first hospice in Central Texas and the only non-profit hospice in the Austin area. He also serves as a member of the Baylor Law Alumni Association executive committee and as a steering committee member for the Austin Baylor Lawyer Network. He previously served on the advisory council for Trinity Street Players, a non-profit theatre in downtown Austin.

Awards and Honors

In 2023, Aslin was elected as a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, an honor extended each year to one-third of one percent of Texas attorneys. He was also invited to participate in the Austin Bar/Austin Young Lawyers Association 2020 Leadership Academy as well as the Texas Bar College.

Baylor Philanthropy

Aslin has supported Baylor University and Baylor Law School in a variety of ways, including financial gifts to the Baylor Bear Foundation, the Baylor Law School Alumni Association, the Law School Dean’s Excellence Fund and Baylor Law School’s Adoption Day.

Church/Christian Mission Affiliations

Aslin and his wife are members of First Baptist Church of Austin, where he serves as a member of the governing board. He was previously a member of the stewardship committee and served as a youth Sunday school teacher.
