Baylor University’s award-winning Dr Pepper Hour Tour kicks off its fifth year staying close to home, visiting the Waco community throughout the first week of the fall tour. The eight-week fall schedule will stay inside the Lone Star State, bouncing between Waco and Dallas for stops throughout the community.

The Tour officially started on Saturday, Aug. 23, slinging floats at the sold-out Boys from Oklahoma concert at McLane Stadium before making the short drive over to Baylor’s Big Event festivities welcoming students to campus.

This week’s schedule includes:

  • Wednesday, Aug. 27 – Lorena High School
  • Thursday, Aug. 28 – McLennan Community College Block Party
  • Friday, Aug. 29 – Baylor vs. Auburn at McLane Stadium

The Dr Pepper Hour Tour, a mobile extension of Baylor’s cherished on-campus tradition since 1953, brings free Dr Pepper floats and Baylor spirit to prospective students and alumni communities nationwide.

Over the upcoming weeks, the Dr Pepper Hour Tour will continue on to Dallas to Baylor’s Louise Herrington School of Nursing, Texas Baptists headquarters and the Baylor-SMU football game. Adding to Baylor’s local brand presence, the Tour will also visit college and youth groups at Waco churches throughout the fall. In addition to four Baylor football home games, concert attendees for three of the University’s marquee shows this fall will get a sweet addition to their show experience: Lauren Daigle (Sept. 12) and Jeff Dunham (Oct. 3) at Foster Pavilion, as well as Howdy at the Hurd with headline artist Ty Myers (Sept. 19).

Additional Baylor merchandise and giveaways will be available while supplies last.

The Dr Pepper Hour Tour has become a celebrated tradition that fosters connections between Baylor and prospective students, alumni, and fans nationwide. With the expansion into Seattle and beyond, the tour continues to grow its reach and share the Baylor spirit with new communities.
