Baylor Alumni by the Numbers
Ties stay strong
Strong communication is key to any healthy family, which helps explain why 95 percent of alumni said they are proud to be Baylor graduates. Your pride in Baylor naturally makes us proud, too.
An independent survey commissioned by Baylor's Division of Marketing & Communications--part of an ongoing effort to evaluate and improve the University’s connection to its alumni--found 89% feel a special bond or connection to Baylor. Of those 60% say that connection is very strong, and 92% are interested in maintaining a connection with the University.
About 80 percent of Bears also said that Baylor does a good job keeping them informed and that they receive the right amount of information from the University.
The point is, however you want to stay in touch, there's likely an option for you to find your sweet spot in connecting with Baylor--hopefully not too little or not too much, but just right. Check out a few of the following ways to stay connected, whether via social media, print or in person. Or, partner with the folks in the Baylor Network to start an event or gathering where you live.
- Baylor Bear watch parties: During fall 2015, approximately 3,000 alumni attended one of the 295 official watch parties across 25 states. Plan a basketball watch party this spring.
- Baylor Nights at various ballparks: Bears enjoyed Baylor Night at the ballparks for the Frisco Roughriders, Round Rock Express, Astros and Texas Rangers. Watch your email for this year’s events or plan an outing in your area.
- Diadeloso: Celebrate the Day of the Bear beyond the campus with Diadeloso Texas at Fiesta Texas and a Diadeloso reception at the Alamo each year.

These kinds of events take place all over Texas and in Oklahoma, Colorado and Washington, DC.
- Sports Network: Tailgate events take place before every home football game and select away games [this year for SMU, Texas Tech (AT&T Stadium), Kansas, TCU and the Russell Athletic Bowl in Orlando, FL]. Other Sports Network events include the bi-monthly "Lunch with a Legend" featuring a living legend from Baylor athletics and events for basketball, baseball and softball.
- Business Network: 2,374 people attended 58 Business Network events in 2015. Events included scholarship dinners, socials for young professionals, golf tournaments and sporting competitions. Each month business professionals gather for breakfasts and luncheons to hear prominent speakers such as a Baylor dean, regent or notable alum.
