Equipping for Success
For Baylor Athletics’ coaches, staff and student-athletes, support through the Give Light campaign has come in both visible and transformational ways.
Construction along the Brazos River highlights the Paul and Alejandra Foster Pavilion and the Fudge Football Development Center — two impressive ways the Baylor Family has supported our Baylor Bears. But this only scratches the surface.
The Baylor Family has established 25 endowed scholarships in support of Baylor’s athletic programs. Nearly $2.5 million has been given to support the Baylor Built program, which promotes character formation through workshops and seminars that focus on such topics as spiritual growth, money management, healthy relationships and career goals. By the time a student-athlete graduates, he or she will have completed 48 hours of intentionally designed programs to prepare them for citizenship in post-college life.
The Baylor Family also has provided generously to ensure student-athletes and coaches have the facilities they need to succeed across all of Baylor’s 19 intercollegiate sport programs. Here is a list of the facilities that have been built, renovated and improved to support Athletics since the start of the Give Light campaign:
- Beauchamp Athletics Nutrition Center (BANC)
- Billy W. Williams Golf Practice Facility
- Renovation of Rena Marrs McLean Gymnasium
- The Jack Ward Pitching Lab at Baylor Ballpark
