Baylor Ranks Among Top Universities

Climbing three spots from last year’s rankings, Baylor tied for 76th among national universities in the 2021 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges list. With an overall score of 64 points, Baylor was tied with American University, Indiana University Bloomington and Yeshiva University — one point behind Clemson University and Virginia Tech University.

Baylor ranked fifth among Texas institutions: Rice University (No. 16), the University of Texas at Austin (No. 42), Southern Methodist University and Texas A&M University (t-No. 66). Baylor was second among Big 12 Conference schools.

Baylor was recognized as having the nation’s eighth-best undergraduate entrepreneurship program and 19th-best first-year experience. The University also achieved high rankings in the following categories: Most Innovative Schools (No. 25), Undergraduate Research/Creative Projects (No. 28), Best Undergraduate Teaching (No. 31), Best Undergraduate Marketing programs (No. 31), Best Colleges for Veterans (No. 47), Best Undergraduate Accounting programs (No. 58) and Best Undergraduate Business programs (No. 67).

Additionally, for the 10th consecutive year, Baylor was named one of the country’s “Great Colleges to Work For” following a nationwide survey by The Chronicle of Higher Education. The University appears on this year’s honor roll, a designation that notes excellence in professional opportunities and job satisfaction, facilites and security, confidence in senior leadership, and more.
