Baylor's Louise Herrington School of Nursing (LHSON) welcomed more than 140 attendees to a Scholarship Celebration Dinner at the Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas. The evening in November provided an opportunity for LHSON to recognize endowed scholarship donors, scholarship recipients and Going for the Gold Gala sponsors.

Endowed scholarship plaques were presented to Kari and Stephen Haywood, Ellen Byrd, Ben Thieme, Mike and Pam Jones, Stanford Brantley, and Suzanne and Tom Martin.

"Thank you to all of our donors for investing in the lives of our students so they can achieve their dream to become a Baylor nurse. Together, our unified presence is a visible sign of our belief in the importance of our Baylor School of Nursing as our student nurses exemplify our motto to learn, lead, serve," LHSON Dean Shelley F. Conroy, EdD, MS, RN, CNE, said.

The event was made possible by Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas-Baylor Scott & White Health.

The Scholarship Celebration Dinner included a student testimony from senior Jackie Jimenez. Ray Vaughn, recruiting officer for the Dallas Police Department, sang Ordinary Angels as a tribute to nurses and first responders.
