Jessica (Edwards) Barlow, BSEd ’06, and husband Cody Barlow, of Crawford, TX, welcomed their first child, Halle Jo Barlow on April 26. She weighed 6 lbs. 5 oz. “We love our little Bear and can’t wait to take her to the Homecoming Parade!” writes Jessica.

Meredith (Moran) Bernsen, BSFCS ’07, and husband David Cade Bernsen of Beaumont, TX, welcomed Clara Channing Bernsen on April 6. “When Channing enters Baylor as a freshman in 2032, she will be a fifth-generation Baylor Bear,” writes Meredith. “Her great-great-great grandfather graduated in 1892. Her great grandfather has had Baylor football season tickets for 40 years and she is excited to attend her first game with him!”

Leslie True Carlson, BBA ’04, and her husband Spencer of Dallas welcomed their son, Parker Harman Carlson, on May 1. They plan to attend many Baylor events and hope he will be a future Baylor Bear.

C. Daniel Clark, BA ’98, and his wife Emily of Edmond, OK, welcomed Madelyn Hope and Baylor Elizabeth Clark on April 6. Madelyn was 4 lbs., 1 oz. and 17.5 in., and Baylor was 5 lbs., 5 oz. and 19 in. “I can’t wait to show them their future alma mater,” writes C. Daniel.

Debby (Martin) Crain, BA’04, MSEd ’05, and Jeff Crain, BSEd ’03, MSEd ’05, and daughter Avonlea Grace Crain, age 4, welcomed Linley Belle Crain on Oct. 14, 2013. “We are cheering on the Baylor Bears to victory!” writes Debby.

Brad, BBA ’08, and Stephanie (Simon) Doherty, BS ’08, MS ’10, PhD ’12, of Latham, NY, welcomed their first child, Baylor Kent Doherty, on June 25. He was 6 lbs., 15 oz., and 18.5 in. “From ‘The Most Baylor Proud Wedding’ to a very Baylor Proud baby! We are so in love with our little bear,” writes Stephanie.

Hubie Fix, BS ’07, and Sara (Izard) Fix, BBA ’08, of Houston, welcomed their first bear cub, Eleanor Jane Fix, on Oct. 25, 2013. She was 8 lbs. 9 oz. and 21.75 in. “We cannot wait to take her to Baylor. See you at the new stadium!” writes Sara.

Dr. Morgen (Young) Gardner, BBA ’01, and husband Adam of Palm Bay, FL, welcomed son Garrett Charles Gardner on Jan 20. Morgen is a dentist, concluding five years of service in the U.S. Navy in August, and Adam is a U.S. Marine Corps F/A-18 pilot. They reside in Bluffton, SC.

Brandy (Penney) Gonzales, BA ’02, MSEd ’04, and husband Joshua of Waco welcomed their second child, Brooklyn Gonzales, on May 15. She joins big sister, Braylee Madison, age 5. “We are beyond blessed to have these two beautiful girls and to be able to raise them in Waco—home to our beloved Baylor University. Todd Hannan, BS ’03, and wife Holly of Columbia Falls, MT, welcomed Augustus Douglas Hannan on June 9. He joins big sisters Cora, age 5, and Ingrid and Noni, age 22 months. “His easy-going disposition has him well-prepared to handle so many doting big sisters,” writes Todd.

Karen (Gilbert) “Nana” Hartley, BBA ’82, welcomed her sixth grandchild, Aydan Hartley Walters, on June 19, 2014. Dr. Kristi (Rowan) Humphreys, BA ’99, is assistant professor of critical studies and artistic practice and coordinator of the fine arts doctoral program in critical studies and artistic practice at Texas Tech University. Her husband, Chris, is game day producer for Texas Tech Athletics. They welcomed their second child, Lawson John Humphreys, on Sept. 25, 2013.
