Bill Lamkin

Dr. Bill Lamkin, BA '50, MA '55, of Waco, passed away July 17. He was 82. Lamkin was formerly a Baylor professor and dean emeritus of the School of Education. He received his doctorate from the University of Texas. He was a teacher and counselor in Texas (Bangs and Waco) and New Mexico (Los Alamos) before teaching 28 years at Baylor, the last 12 years as dean. He led the Baylor-in-London program beginning in the 1980s. He and wife Robbie eventually toured six continents. In 2000, the Lamkins moved to Brookesmith, Texas, before returning to Waco this year. Memorials may be made to the Baylor University School of Education Faculty/Staff Student Endowed Scholarship Fund.
