New Resource Center For Autism

May 27, 2008

The Baylor Autism Resource Center sponsored its first Walk for Autism recently to raise support and awareness for the new center which opened in January. The center offers much needed resources to school districts, local non-profit organizations, medical personnel, parents, families and individuals with autism. Dr. Julie Ivey, assistant professor of educational psychology, received support from the Baylor/Waco Foundation to create the center, which serves about 20 families a week in its Social Circles classes, in addition to educators, caregivers and teachers who use the resource section all week long.
