Show your true colors

August 21, 2007

Baylor University is encouraging its students, alumni, faculty and staff to wear their Baylor green and gold colors on Aug. 31 as the university participates in the nationwide "College Colors Day," sponsored by the Collegiate Licensing Corporation (CLC).
The third annual event is set to coincide with college football's kickoff weekend. According to CLC, College Colors Day "seeks to celebrate and promote the spirit that makes college traditions great."
Members of the Baylor family can show their enthusiasm and demonstrate their support by wearing school colors to school or work. Baylor Gold Rush t-shirts with the 2007-08 design may be purchased for $5 at the Baylor Bookstore and other area retail establishments, or online at www.baylorbears.com.
"I encourage all members of the Baylor family to wear their green and gold on College Colors Day, August 31," said Baylor President John M. Lilley. "Whether you reside in Waco or live half a world away, this event provides a wonderful opportunity for us to demonstrate publicly in the communities in which we live and work our pride and loyalty to Baylor University."
