Glennis Mccrary Goodrich International Scholarships

December 4, 2006

About 15 Baylor students receive scholarships each academic year from the Glennis McCrary Goodrich Endowed Scholarships in International Studies to study abroad.
The program honors the memory of Glennis McCrary Goodrich of Houston, who graduated from Baylor magna cum laude in 1929. She served as captain of the Baylor women's football team, an early collegiate co-educational football team. She provided most of the funds for the Glennis McCrary Music Building, and also contributed to the Armstrong Browning Library and an endowed a scholarship that provides financial support to Baylor music students. She died in 2001 at age 92, and the fund was established from the assets of two charitable gift annuities.
