About The Survey

The Gallup Organization conducted the Baylor Religion Survey from Oct. 8 to Dec. 12, 2005. It includes 1,721 respondents and a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percent. Gallup used both telephone and mailed surveys. Overall participation rate was 46.5 percent. Gallup did not reveal that Baylor University was the sponsor of the study. The John M. Templeton Foundation funded the study.
