LEAFing Out Into South Waco

The overall LEAF program has four goals to help residents in the South Waco area develop their full potential in the context of a thriving community and family:
 

• Educational goals: that every adult will be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English and have at least a GED; that every child will be making progress at school;
• Family and community goals: each family unit will be actively engaged in the community;
• Employment goals: that all adults who want to work will be able to earn a living wage or enroll in postsecondary education; and
• Health literacy goals: that every person will have fundamental knowledge of personal health and how the health care system works.
